It is normal for trees to fail, either due to extreme weather or tree defects, however if damage or harm is caused and the subsequent investigation determines that the accident was 'forseeble' then the tree owner may be held liable. If no inspection regime is in place then the tree owners position becomes even less defensible.

Why Treetek?Legally, tree owners are required to have their trees inspected regularly by a 'competent' person and it it is important to use a trained specialist to ensure that you are being given the correct information on how to manage your trees safely.
Significant tree hazards may be present which are hard to spot to the untrained eye, whilst other trees may appear unsafe due to very obvious 'defects', such as large cavities, but are in fact well within acceptable risk tolerances and could be retained for many decades.
